The Type Museum. Located in London. This website has a very clean feel to it and is definitely type focused, which goes alongside of what the museum is showcasing. The website reflects the museum itself, which I think is important for the viewer. I really enjoy the simplicity of the website, and how there is very straight-forward tabs to lead to the important parts of the website, and they are cleanly laid out on the top. I also enjoy how the layout stays consistent as you click from page to page, with an image on the left and then important information on the right. It keeps the viewer from straying away and getting lost.

Museum of London. I like how this website combines image and then the important information for navigating the website. I think that the image is a good choice because it is not placed in a box, and it is not vibrant colors and calling attention away from the information, it is merely supplementing it. I also like how the image behind the "Museum of London" is mimicked again with the tabs of information right below it, and also color coded with the same colors used behind the museum name. When you click on one of the tabs it gives you a preview of where it will take you, which is nice, and then the page is color coded accordingly as well and laid out the same way when you click each link.

National Academy Museum and School. One of my favorite parts of this website is how the shape that is behind the logo of the museum is used for other buttons, and is a fluid part throughout the whole website. Having something that carries through, makes it look more cohesive. The red also grabs the viewer's attention to the important information that they may be looking for.  The boxes at the bottom are also large enough and prominent on the page to lead the viewer to other areas of the website that they may be interested in looking at. Type size is an important part of this website. When you click on the general over arching information box you are looking for, there then follows a page that has a left sided tab bar with options, which is clearly organized.

 Penn State: Palmer Museum of Art. The Palmer Museum of Art website has a lot going on, but keeps consistency through the website, and has an organized pattern of how to find what you are looking for. The tabs are all laid out on the left hand side and color coded to match the page that you open. Once into a specific tab, there are then other sidebars or links to important information within that topic to lead the viewer other places. This could get confusing, though, to have to click on multiple side tabs before reaching the information you want. The color coding is nice, and the layout of image and type work nicely in a sort of grid format. The use of image is not too heavy, and only used when necessary.

Virgina Tech | Armory Gallery: This gallery website for VT is pretty plain in the color choices, but it allows for the text and information to be the main focus rather then having crazy colors. They have a nice image displayed in the front, as well as including hours which is an important element people may want to quickly know. The tabs on the side change as you put the cursor over them, and lead to the various places that someone may want to go beyond the gallery information, which is helpful. The gallery tabs are all placed in one area and called out from the other tabs on the left side. They have included a search bar which is also helpful. The tabs are clear cut and have information exactly as it says when you click on it.
